Alternate Ways to Help Mind Mapping Students Visualize the Methodology, Philosophy and Process
There are hundreds of people out there who have Mind Maps and different versions and various methods of teaching this thinking process to others. Some use computer programs, some use visual teaching tools and most all have a diagram to help introduce the concept and yet there are indeed Alternate ways to help Mind Mapping Students visualize the methodology, philosophy and process.
For instance you could simply describe the Mind Map Circle and tell the University Students to visualize a picture of a Human Female reproductive egg, as a place to hatch ideas and then it is being bombarded by nutrients and seeds. Or you might use a Clock, as the hand moves around it considers all the input of each numeral as it crosses. Simply use 12 simple items to consider in thinking and so lets break these down further.
You might also use an Oxygen Atom with 8 separate particles flying around it bringing information, and you simply grab them as you need them to produce your energetic idea. But whatever visualization strategies you use, showing them brings the concept and methods full circle for the human mind.
You know this would allow one to teach and discuss this with someone who is both introspective, completely visual, introverted or absolutely extroverted. Some say it makes more sense to use a more subliminal way of teaching Mind Mapping to new students of the thinking process.
Others hypothesis that it might be smart to slow the brain down for maximum deep thought. Not in the theta range, you do not wish to put everyone to sleep, but keeping them in the 8-10 Hertz range while they are thinking about a case study, or application of the Mind Map methods. This could be done by use of lights, soft music or slowing down the teaching presentation.
If the students are too ramped up they will not give these Mind Map methods full benefit, they will pass over them, not actually thinking just acknowledging, like someone who does not speak your language just nodding his head, but he has not a clue as to what you just said. These are just ideas and concepts on how to best present Mind Maps to new students. I hope this article will help you in your quest to be the best in 2007.
